Dr. Eric Fillmore received an Associate of Science degree in nursing from the College of Eastern Utah in 2008 and Later his Bachelor of Science in nursing degree from Western Governors University in 2009. His nursing focus was in acute and intensive care. As an RN, the bulk of his nursing career was spent working in Inpatient Cardiovascular care. Working in the cardiovascular field gave him a unique perspective on the long term effects of delayed preventative and primary care. He saw that people needed primary care more than specialized care, and that he could help, so he decided to further his education. He attended the University of Utah and received a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree with a focus in Primary care in 2015. He is a board certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner through the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. He believes that patient education and active involvement in their plan of care are the most important things, he enjoys working with his patients to come up with a treatment plan that is mutually agreed upon. Dr. Fillmore grew up in a small mining community in Eastern Utah where he learned the value of hard work and good times. He now resides in Globe, Arizona with his wife Krystal. He enjoys working with his hands, diesel mechanics, and loves the outdoors. He is an avid cyclist that enjoys road and mountain biking. He enjoys the varied landscapes of Arizona. He has come to appreciate the heat and more importantly the distinct lack of snow. He and his wife love to travel and see new places throughout the world. He looks forward to meeting new people and trying new things as he continues his career in Globe.
