Mark Overas, MMSc, PA-C
I
was raised in Connecticut, but spent the majority of my life in Alaska. I
have a BS Cell and Molecular
Biology from the University of Washington and a Master of Medical Science
from Yale University School of Medicine. I participated in the
Graduate and Physician Associate Program at Yale University. I received
the Leadership Award from the Student Academy of the American Academy of
Physician Assistants, May 2002, for work in delivering recovered medical
supplies to Cambodia. I was a Founding Board Member of REMEDY-SA,
the student association of REMEDY (Recovered Medical Equipment for the
Developing World). Through REMEDY, I periodically conduct
needs-assessment tours of developing nations, and organize the collection
and delivery of medical supplies from US institutions to these overseas
sites.
My personal
interests focus mainly on the outdoors: I count climbing, hiking, biking,
and skiing among my favorite activities. |
