I provide health care at Canyonlands Urgent Care.  I am a long time resident of Page, AZ.

Gail attended the Albany Medical College, Physician Assistant Program and holds a Master's Degree in Health Administration.

         I received my Masters of Physician Assistant at Idaho State University. I Have Family Medicine and Orthopedic     Surgery experience and am certified in Disaster Preparedness. I am also a certified yoga instructor and enjoy mountain biking. My wife and I have been married for 18 years and we enjoy spending my free time with our two children.

      Steven Bernards PA-C

I attended A. T. Still University/Arizona School of Health Sciences in Mesa, Arizona, where I completed the requirements to become a Physician Assistant.  Undergraduate studies were completed at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah.  I am NCCPA certified.  I was raised in Spanish Fork, Utah. My wife and I have two young children, a girl and a boy, who keep me busy outside work. I enjoy hiking, running, all outdoor activities, and spending time with my family.

    Paul Kliewer, MD
Paul Kliewer graduated from Kansas University Medical School and interned at Good Samaritan Hospital in Phoenix, Arizona.  Prior to coming to Canyonlands, Dr. Kliewer was in private practice which included obstetrics, gynecology, surgery, general medicine and emergency room.

    Mark Overas, MMSc, PA-C
I was raised in Connecticut, but spent the majority of my life in Alaska. I have a BS Cell and Molecular Biology from the University of Washington and a Master of Medical Science from Yale University School of Medicine.  I participated in the Graduate and Physician Associate Program at Yale University. I received the Leadership Award from the Student Academy of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, May 2002, for work in delivering recovered medical supplies to Cambodia.  I was a Founding Board Member of REMEDY-SA,  the student association of REMEDY (Recovered Medical Equipment for the Developing World).  Through REMEDY, I periodically conduct needs-assessment tours of developing nations, and organize the collection and delivery of medical supplies from US institutions to these overseas sites.

My personal interests focus mainly on the outdoors: I count climbing, hiking, biking, and skiing among my favorite activities.

Dr. Milward is our new dentist in Fredonia.

    Jacqueline Hinde, PA-C
Jacque received her Bachelor of Medical Science in Physician Assistant Studies, Cum Laude, at St. Louis University in February 2001. She worked in Family Practice for 2 1/2 years at Monument Valley Health Center prior to joining the staff at Chilchinbeto Clinic. She worked in Columbia, Missouri as a lab technician while completing her under graduate degree at Columbia College where she earned a Bachelor of Arts. Her teaching experience includes Advanced Cardiac Life Support (3 years), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (2 years), Basic Trauma Life Support (2 years), and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (2 years). While living at Monument Valley, she taught aerobics with nutrition and health education. Her hobbies include hiking, camping, sewing, baking and interior design.

 Dr. Nestor chose Family Medicine, because he feels privileged to see and care for people of all age groups, and entire families.  His work is always interesting, and seeing families helps him gain insight into his patients. Nothing gives me more satisfaction than my work, and I feel fortunate and honored to be a physician.  His life is family and work. He particularly enjoys Classical music, and writes music for guitar.  He collects signed first edition books, and reading is a lifelong passion.

   John Wenham, MD

Education: 

Attended Phoenix College-Carroll College (Mont)-U of Oregon receiving a Bachelor of Science, received his MD degree at U of Oregon, rotating internship was @ Fresno General Hosp and then was drafted by military, serving in USAF @ Nellis AFB in Las Vegas, Nevada.

 He was born in Butte, Montana, “a long time ago”; He immersed himself in emergency medicine until 1983.  He was on the emergency room staff of many Tucson and Phoenix hospitals; then moved into the urgent care arena with Cigna Healthplan facilities. Upon moving to Safford AZ area in 1988, he enjoyed a general practice career for almost 20 years.  He trains horses, play drums in a rock band and rides his motorcycle nearly everywhere. He is very thrilled to be part of the Canyonlands family

   Natalie Bryant, FNP-C

Education: BS in Biology, Honors Program; Western Kentucky University, Bowling Green, Kentucky (2000)

Masters of Nursing; Vanderbilt University, Nashville, Tennessee (2005)

Board Certification; American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, Family Nurse Practitioner

 Natalie Bryant has been practicing as a Family Nurse Practitioner since 2005.  She has experience in primary care, bariatric and urgent clinic settings.  She provides comprehensive primary care for patients of all ages.  She was born in Tennessee and raised in Kentucky where she practiced until relocating to Safford, Arizona in 2010. She enjoys outdoor activities and traveling and loves to participate in medical mission trips.
